When the package of Pine Brothers Throat Drops arrive at our house it could not have been better timing. I was asked to do a review on these throat drops and my husband and I just happen to be sick with the cold and scratchy throat bug. All though these softish throat drops were first introduced in 1870, they have been out of circulation for about 15 years and are now making a come back. Which is great because these throat drops not only help make my throat feel better, they also taste good. It was kind of funny because the day before the Pine Brothers throat drops arrived, my husband used one of the cough drops that we have. It was not long before he spit it out and said it was to strong and he did not like it. Some cough drops have such a strong menthol/eucalyptus taste that you cannot leave them in your mouth for very long, they kind of burn your tough and checks. Well that is not the case with the Pine Brother throat drops they are very smooth with no taste of menthol or eucalyptus what so ever. Instead they are very smooth and even taste good- whichever flavor honey or cherry that is what you taste, not harsh menthol. I liked them both, but I have to say the honey flavor is by far my favorite. The Pine Brothers throat drops are also unique in that they are a softish and chewy throat drop not hard. The price of these drops are very reasonable and you can find them at your local stores and pharmacies such as Safeway, Walgreens, CVS and more or online which ever is easiest for you. They come in bags and also refillable pucks as shown above, the pucks are very convenient to re-fill and carry with you. They sent me so many throat drops that I was able to pass them out to family and friends so I could get an idea of what others thought about them. What I found out is that it was unanimous, everyone like them and said they would buy them.
Now let's talk about the giveaway!
