~~CLEANING FRUITS AND VEGETABLES~~
We eat alot of fruit and vegetables at our house.
It really freaks me out if my kids or grandkids grab an apple
or a grape and pop it in their mouth before I have a chance to wash them.
The proper way to wash you fruits and vegetables-
what is approved by the FDA is plain old fashion water.
First wash your hands throughly with soap and water.
Then take your fruit and put under warm running water for 20 seconds,
rubbing well with your hands.
Do not use any kind of detergents.
They do have a special vegetable spray wash that some people do use.
You do not have to use those types of things. I've always felt like I was trying
to wash off chemicals with other chemicals.
And again warm water alone is FDA approved.
I like to wash mine all at once when I get home from shopping,
I cannot trust my grandkids to wash them before eating them.
Once you are done be sure to wash you hands again with warm soapy water.
